a MARTIAN
on EARTH

"A Martian on Earth" is a photographic series inspired by Ray Bradbury's "The Martian Chronicles." This project documents poetic moments depicting a Martian experiencing Earth for the first time. It explores cultural identity through materials and practices, particularly embroidery—a significant element of my own heritage.

In my early years of landscape exploration, bodily transformation became central to embodying characters whose lives offered new perspectives on familiar surroundings. Influenced by literary references and improvisational practices, this work focused on unlearning embodied patterns and revealing deeply held stories, memories, and narratives related to self-identity.

The series reflects how landscapes exist within us, their histories intricately inscribed into our bodily architecture.
